This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how we use the data (which may include personal information) we collect about you offline and through our digital properties (“Site(s)”) when: you create an account, make a reservation, request support, chat, send us a message, or otherwise communicate or interact with us via our websites or app, when you apply, register, inquire about or participate in our school, camps, training programs, competitions or events, and any additional products or services association with your participation, when you view or interact with content on our online channels, including online trainings and coaching, when you attend our events in person, when you book our facilities for corporate events, groups or otherwise, and when you otherwise interact with us, including our social media, performance platforms, marketing, contests, sweepstakes, and surveys (collectively our “Service(s)”).

This Privacy Policy also applies to mobile applications developed by Leap College Counseling, LLC, which includes B-Ramsu, LLC..

WHO WE ARE

We are Leap College Counseling, LLC, which includes B-Ramsu, LLC, and their affiliated entities (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are also part of Leap College Counseling, LLC and may share data (as described further below) with its affiliated entities (collectively, “LeapCC”). Like any company, we use a variety of third-party businesses and partners to market and provide our Services to you. Some of those companies are part of LeapCC, and some are third parties that we partner with or support our operations so we can provide the best experience to you.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

DIRECTLY FROM YOU

We may collect, transmit, and store information about you in connection with your use of the Site, including any information you send to or through the Site. We use that information to provide the Site’s functionality, fulfil your requests, improve the Site’s quality, engage in research and analysis relating to the Site, personalize your experience, track usage of the Site, provide feedback to third party businesses that are listed on the Site, display relevant advertising, market the Site, provide customer support, message you, back up our systems, allow for disaster recovery, enhance the security of the Site, and comply with legal obligations. Even when we do not retain such information, it still must be transmitted to our servers initially and stored long enough to process.

You may provide us with personal information in a number of ways, namely when you:

  • Access our Sites, applications, and other digital channels by signing up, creating accounts (including using social media login), filling out forms, using chat services, commenting, or otherwise engaging with our online Services;

  • Subscribe to or otherwise view our content online, including any of our online social media channels official videos, or participate in our online streaming events, such as academy, schools, or events; Attend any event using our Services (e.g. ticket scanning, CCTV, and other on location interactions you may have with us);
  • Interact with us in person at events or during campus visits; and
  • Interact with us during your time at our academy.

A. Account Information: When you create an account with us, we store and use the information you provide during that process, such as the first and last name you enter and email address. We may publicly display the first name and last initial that you provide, as well as any photo or other content you submit through the account creation process, as part of your account profile. We also store and use any preferences you provide to personalize your user experience, including dining and activity preferences. If you believe that someone has created an unauthorized account using your personal information, you can request its removal by flagging it.

B. Communications: When you sign up for an account or use certain features, you are opting to receive messages from us. You can manage some of your messaging preferences through your account settings, but note that you cannot opt out of receiving certain administrative, transactional, or legal messages from us.

C. Activity: We store information about your use of the Site, such as your search activity, the pages you view and the date and time of your visits. We also store information that your computer or mobile device may provide to us in connection with your use of the Site, such as your browser type, type of computer or mobile device, browser language, IP address, mobile carrier, unique device identifier, and requested and referring URLs and mobile applications.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM OTHER SOURCES

We work closely with our affiliates that are part of LeapCC to provide our Services, market to you and to provide a seamless service across different businesses. As such we receive from such affiliates, the following personal information such as name, email, phone number, address, sport or academic information (GPA, position, sport metrics, school/team affiliation) and family information (parent /guardian).

We work closely with third parties and may receive personal information about you from them, such as: technology, customer support service partners, and other service providers (to seamlessly provide our services to you), fraud and cybersecurity companies (that protect our Services and information from fraud or other cyber threats) event registration companies and venue providers (that enable you to register for our events, academies, camps, etc., and host events and provide various marketing, advertising, customer support, and security services related to events), cookies and similar tracking technologies (information that is automatically collected when you visit our Sites), medical services partners (that assist in providing medical services (e.g. medications, allergies, emergency care, etc.), marketing, media and digital content partners (IP addresses and email addresses to market our products and services and create lookalike audiences), partners and sponsors (who partner with us or sponsor our events), performance technology platforms (to enhance our service offering to you by providing performance statistics and analytics), advertising networks (such as Google/Bing), analytics providers, payment providers and processing companies (that process your purchases of our Services and fulfill your payments on our behalf, by providing us with your billing and purchase information)

 e-commerce platforms (that provide platforms enabling you to purchase our Services and lead generation partners, (which provide us with your information if you are interested in receiving our Services or communicating with us), third party data providers (that provide us with information regarding individuals interested in our services or the services of our affiliates), and certified testing centers (for purposes of assisting with standardized and college placement testing).

We may also receive and display personal information and content which is made publicly available on your social media account when you use social media logins for our Services or interact with any of our content (such as contests or when you post using one of our promoted hashtags). Some of our key partners, who we receive data from (and may share some data with, see “DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION” section below) include:

  • Technology companies, who we work with to analyze and track performance data
  • Leagues, Colleges and Universities, and Governing Bodies, who we work with in the US.
  • E-commerce platforms and services.
  • Recruiting service providers.
  • Media and digital content partners.
  • Partners and Sponsors.
  • Third parties which provide various marketing, advertising, customer support, and security services.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

We may use personal information we have about you

  • as necessary if we believe there has been a breach of the registration materials, Terms of Use or the rights of any third party,
  • as necessary to assist in the investigation of potential criminal activity or other activity that is in violation of our rules, regulations and policies, including, but not limited to, the LeapCC Student Handbook;

We combine personal information we receive from other sources with personal information you give to us and personal information we collect about you. We use this combined information for the purposes set out above. We may use data that has been anonymized or aggregated without limitation in a lawful manner.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do share personal information with third parties, and the other categories of partners as listed above. Some of these disclosures of personal information may constitute a sale of personal information under some data privacy laws. Accordingly, we offer the option for you to opt out of the sale of personal information, as further set forth below.

We may also disclose personal information to third parties:

  • if we evaluate or enter into negotiations to buy, sell, or merge with any business or assets, or if we enter into bankruptcy, reorganization, or receivership, or some similar proceeding in which case we may disclose personal information about you to the prospective or eventual seller or buyer of such business or assets;

MARKETING AND ADVERTISING

TARGETED ADVERTISING

We use personal information, with your consent where required, to tailor our marketing and advertising efforts. To do this, we provide personal information to third party advertising networks (such as Google Doubleclick) and social media companies (such as Facebook). When we provide personal information to agencies, ad networks, and other parties fo

EMAIL MARKETING

With your consent where required, we also add you to our mailing lists for email communications from us, and our partners when you sign up for our mailing lists, apply, register, inquire about or participate in our school, camps, programs, competitions or events, or subscribe to our content online. If you provide us with your email address in order to receive communications, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe links at the bottom of our emails.

MOBILE NOTIFICATIONS AND TEXT MESSAGES

With your consent, we may send promotional and non-promotional push notifications or alerts to your mobile device. You can deactivate these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on your mobile device.

With your consent, where required, we may send informational, transactional, and other service-related text messages to your mobile phone number. [You can opt out of receivin

SOCIAL MEDIA

You may be able to use social sharing features and other integrated tools on the Site such as the Facebook “Like” button. Your use of such features enables the sharing of data with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the service that provides the social sharing feature. CHAT ROOMS, FORUMS, AND MESSAGE BOARDS

We may make chat rooms, forums, commenting and message boards available to you and other users using third party software. You are not required to provide any personal information when using these areas but you may choose to do so. If you post personal information online, it will be publicly available and you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties. By using the commenting features of the Site, you acknowledge that your user name and location information will be disclosed. We cannot ensure the security of any data you choose to make public in a chat room, forum, or message board. Also, we cannot ensure that parties who have access to such publicly available information will respect your privacy. Please exercise caution when deciding to disclose personal information in these areas. STORAGE AND TRANSFER OF INFORMATION

We operate the Services and store personal information about you in and from a number of different jurisdictions, mainly in the United States, but the Site is primarily operated from the United States. Personal information about you is processed by staff operating outside of your respective country who work for us or our third-party service providers. Personal information about you may be disclosed in response to inquiries or requests from government authorities or to respond to legal processes in the countries in which we operate and/or store personal information about you. For any transfers outside the US, we transfer information to be able to perform our Services under our contract with you.

DATA RETENTION AND ACCOUNT TERMINATION

We will remove certain public content from view and/or dissociate them from your account profile, but we may retain information about you for the purposes authorized under this Privacy Policy unless prohibited by law. For example, we may retain information to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with the Site or to comply with legal obligations. We may also maintain residual copies of your personal information in our backup systems. Please note that businesses cannot remove their business pages, ratings, or reviews by closing their accounts

OPTING IN TO/OPTING OUT OF THE SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATIO

We share personal information about you with sponsors, vendors, technology partners, and third-party advertising networks (as discussed above in the “INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT” section). These transfers, which are used to provide you with certain Services and/or to more effectively provide you with personalized Services (including advertising), can be deemed a sale under some data privacy laws.
