This Settlement Agreement is entered into by and between Pascual, Betty Mae, and Palo Alto Health Care System on this _______ day of March 2021. Individually referred to as “Party” and collectively referred to as “Parties.”
WHEREAS, the Betty has a discrimination charge against the Company;
WHEREAS, both Parties appreciate the importance of good work relations;
WHEREAS, both Parties would like to settle the charge;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, the Parties agree as follows:
In consideration of the drop of discrimination charges, the Company will: Pay for Betty’s Nursing School; Allow Betty to advance her career by going to school and working part-time with benefits; Receive 40 hours of pay due to the past 40 hours of Leave Without Pay; Have admonishment removed from Electronic Official Personnel Folder (EOPF) files, and endeavor to have a good work environment by doing away with harassment. In return, Betty will be committed fully to her work diligently for the Company and comply with all Company laws and policies.
This Settlement is by no means a blackmail settlement. The Parties agree to act honestly, diligently, and in good faith in their respective endeavors to negotiate, settle and execute this Settlement Agreement.
This Agreement forms the entire understanding between the parties regarding the subject matter, and both parties intend to be bound by the Agreement.
