ROOMMATE AGREEMENT

This Agreement effective as of 1 February 2022 is entered into by and between _______________________________   AND ________________________________. Individually referred to as ‘Party’ and collectively referred to as ‘Parties’. The Parties intend to be legally bound as follows:

  1. RECITALS

Whereas, the Parties were married and got divorced in April 2021;

Whereas, the Parties got ________ children from their union;

AND

, ______________ would like to come back and live with her ex—husband and kids.

  • TERM

The term of this agreement will commence on 1st February 2022 and continue effectively for six months up to 31st July 2022.

  • EXPENSES
    • Rent and Utilities. During the term of the Agreement, __________________ will not be required to pay rent or any utilities. However, she must use the utilities sparingly i.e. water usage, electricity and heat.
    • Groceries. ________________________ will be required to help provide groceries for the children.
  • GENERAL CONDUCT

_____________________ promises to conduct themselves in a peaceable and responsible manner. She will not hold house fests over unless with the ex-husband’s approval. Additionally, she will be required to maintain the residence and the items while in occupancy, she will leave the residence in the same condition as was when she arrived and she will only take items she originally brought.

  • DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any dispute arising between the parties shall be solved in good faith through mediation between the parties.

  • GOVERNING LAW

This agreement shall be governed and construed according to the laws of __________________.

  • ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Agreement contains the entire agreement of the parties on these matters, superseding any previous agreements between them.

  • MODIFICATION BY SUBSEQUENT AGREEMENT

This Agreement may be modified by subsequent agreement of the parties only by an instrument in writing signed by both of them, an oral agreement to the extent the parties execute it, or in an in-court oral agreement made into an order by a court of competent jurisdiction.
