I’m writing this to express my intention of being a personal representative of the
estate of ________________ and to affirm your release from
obligations related to the estate of the deceased.
I hereby release you from any obligations of the estate of the deceased.
I agree to take up the responsibilities of a Personal Representative. In my
capacity as a personal representative I will: protect the estate in a manner
consistent with the deceased’s wishes, collect the assets of the estate, protect
the estate property, prepare an inventor on the property, pay various state
expenses, valid claims (including debts and taxes) against the estate,
representing the estate in claims against others and eventually distributing the
estate property to appropriate beneficiaries.
