RE: PAST BACKGROUND CHECKS
My name is Germahl Latrone Pierre. I recently renewed my Notary Commission in the State of Arizona. I also passed the Loan Signing Agent Exam. I’m now in the process of starting my career.
Backgrounds Online, a background checks company, conducted background checks on me years ago. The company discovered some offences I had committed and uploaded them on their website. This has been a stumbling block as I begin my career. The purpose of this letter is to request removal of those offences from their website. They have a negative impact on my reputation, subsequently denying me work opportunities.
The last time I had an encounter with the law and courts was four years ago. While I may have been on the wrong side of the law in the past, it does not mean that my chances in future should be hampered because of offences committed years ago. I was penalized for those offences. Afterwards, I became a good citizen and haven’t had any issues with the law in a long time. I’ve done good for myself by renewing my Notary Commission and passing the Loan Signing Agent Exam.
I believe that the purpose of our justice system is to correct offenders and give them a second chance in society. The background checks will always be a stumbling block despite all my effort and hard work to be a better person in society.
I would like this Board to order not to consider past background checks conducted by Backgrounds Online, and subsequently order their removal. I am ready to appear before you to clarify any issues. Thank you for taking time to read this letter. I hope to receive a positive response from you soon.
