RE: Letter of [Enter Name] in Support of His request for waiver of requisite five year waiting period for grant of pardon.
Respectfully,
My name is [Enter Name]. This letter serves as my humble request for a waiver of the required five year waiting period for the grant of pardon.
In 2018, I was charged and convicted for Wire Fraud. Accordingly, I was sentenced to house arrest and probation. I was not given jail time. I had never been on the wrong side of the law before. This was my first charge ever.
As it stands currently, I have not yet attained the required five years, which I would need so I can be granted pardon. Accordingly, I premise my request herein on two grounds that I humbly request you to take into consideration. First, I need the waiver because I need to find work so I provide for my child and my mother, who is sick. Under the house arrest, I cannot find a job. Therefore, I find it very hard to make ends meet. Next, the COVID pandemic, whose impact on the society cannot go unnoticed, has made it hard to survive without a source of income.
I write this letter with utmost remorse. I am ashamed that I am now branded as a convicted criminal. It hits me so hard because I always hoped I become a responsible, respectful, and law-abiding citizen since my childhood. I have never imagined that I could be on the wrong side of the law at any time in my life.
I acknowledge that the bad choice I made has tainted my character. There is no excuse for my conduct. Had I chance to rewind time, I would have done things differently. I am fully determined to make everything right again.
It is worth noting that before my life took a turn for the worst, I always had steady jobs. This shows that I had an ambitious future and that I have the ability to make good choices. Therefore, a timely second chance would mean a new lease of life for me.
In light of the foregoing, I request for a waiver of the five year period to request for pardon. I am hopeful that when granted my request, I will live responsibly and work hard to provide for my family.
Thank you for your consideration of this matter. I am looking forward to your positive response.
Yours sincerely,
