ORDER FOR REUNIFICATION
THERAPY
This matter is set to come on regularly for hearing on [ENTER DATE] before Honorable
[ENTER NAME OF JUDGE], Judge of the General Court of Justice, District Court Division,
Orange County, North Carolina. Plaintiff had filed a Motion for Reunification Therapy.
Upon reading and considering the Plaintiff’s Motion for Reunification Therapy, the Court
observes that Plaintiff previously waved safety concerns when she turned custody of Zoe over to
the Defendant on March 2021, May 2021, June 2021, July 2021, and August 2021 without
modifications to the PPP. The Court further observes that Plaintiff previously waved her concern
that too much time elapsed when she turned custody of Zoe over to Father March 2021 after
denying visitation September 2020, October 2020, November 2020, December 2020, January
2021, and February 2021. Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
1. The Parties abide by the visitation schedule and parenting plan pursuant to the 2017
Orders duly registered in this State on January 29, 2019, subject to the following
modifications:
i. Defendant shall schedule reunification therapy during Layla’s scheduled visitation
time with him this summer.
ii. Plaintiff shall insure that Defendant’s phone number is not blocked on Layla’s
phone and shall make herself available as tech support if more troubleshooting is
needed.
iii. Reunification therapy is unnecessary for Zoe given that there appears to be
sufficient evidence that she is not afraid of the Defendant via text messages.
iv. Should Plaintiff wish to schedule time with/for Layla during Defendant’s
visitation schedule, she can negotiate with him through council or OFW per the
PPP; and
v. Plaintiff shall publish every extracurricular activity contemplated for the children
this summer or explain why she should not be held in contempt for failing to
share the children’s extracurricular activities she is contemplating scheduling for
the children this summer with Defendant.
2. This Order is immediately enforceable upon its entry.
3. The Clerk shall direct a copy of this Order to all parties and counsel of record.
