- Royalties
I would seek the royalties’ clause to change from 20% to 25% of the label’s net sales revenue. 25% of royalties will constitute sufficient consideration for the producer.
- Rights
I would seek the label to consider the rights clause as the label seeks to own all the copyright rights upon the contract’s termination. I want the agreement to be amended so that the producer retains 25-30% ownership rights upon termination.
- Options
I would like to negotiate the length of time between the LPs. 9 months is a very short time to produce and give to the label 48 songs. Negotiating the length of time would render the contractual period longer, hence making the agreement period more reasonable.
