LIVERY YARD AGREEMENT
This AGREEMENT is made on the _____ day of _______________, 20_____ between:

___________________________ (OWNER) of ___________________________________address.
Yard and Owner collectively referred to as the “Parties” or individually as the “Party”) and includes that
Party’s successors and assigns.

The Yard will
At all times during the Term provide the Services in an efficient and professional manner which
meets the welfare needs of the Horse and in so doing will exercise all the skill, care and diligence
that might be expected of a competent and properly qualified livery yard.
Give the Owner access, during the business hours of the Yard, to the Horse and all the premises
where the Horse is kept.
Subject to their discretion, undertake the Owner’s work and charge the Owner in accordance with
the sums set out in this Agreement, or where not covered by this Agreement, at the market rate
where the Owner fails to ensure that the horse is provided when it is Owner’s duty to do so.
The Owner shall:
Notify the Yard in good time of any information or documents required by the Yard to enable it
to perform the Services including without limitation, any known vices, medical condition, and
any special requirements of the horse.
Comply with the rules, and procedures set out for safe and efficient running of the Yard.
Be responsible for full compliance by any person who comes onto the Yard in connection with
the Owner’s affairs, even if the Owner did not invite them.
Accept full responsibility for their personal safety and for any person brought to the Yard by
them;
Make good any damage caused by them or their horse.
Use all facilities, inclusive or paid for at their own risk.
Fees
In consideration for the provision of the Services, the Owner will pay to the Yard the following Fee and
any additional sums due under the Agreement.
i. Individuals will pay a monthly fee of _______________ due on the 1 st day of each month.
ii. Companies will pay a yearly fee of __________________ payable in advance.
A penalty of 50 AED accrues each day any amount owing to the Company remains unpaid. In the event
that the Fee or any additional sum due under this Agreement remains unpaid for more than
_______________days after they became due, the Owner agrees that the Yard may take ownership of the
horse, sell the Horse or do any other act per the YARD’s discretion, provided that prior written notice of
at least ______________days has been given to the Owner (at the address set out at the beginning of this
Agreement) of this intention. Where the Horse is sold, from the monies received from the sale of the
Horse, the Yard may retain such sums as cover of any unpaid sums due under this Agreement and the
reasonable costs of sale. Any remaining money shall be returned to the Owner within
______________days of sale.
Termination
Either Party may terminate this Agreement, at any time upon giving the other Party no less than
________notice in writing. If a Party wishes to terminate the contract with less than this stated period, the
other Party reserves the right to charge costs that they have already paid in advance or incurred. The
termination of this agreement shall not discharge the liabilities accumulated by either Party. Any Clauses
intended by the Parties or this agreement to survive the termination of this agreement shall survive the
termination of this agreement by whatever cause.
General
No amendment of the terms of the Agreement shall be valid or binding unless made by prior written
agreement between the Yard and the Owner. This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the laws
__________________, and its Courts without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
