was able to complete my sentence without any issues.
Since I completed my sentence, I have not been involved in any unlawful activity
whatsoever. However, I continue to encounter a hurdle that has made my life

The record has had a negative impact on my family and I, especially since the onset
of the Covid-19 pandemic. I have missed out on many opportunities because those

began to affect his mental health.

for good cause shown. My inability to take up opportunities around me, and my son’s
and family’s mental health constitute good cause to grant the expungement of my
record. Further good cause exists as I have qualified for the expungement of my
record.
Expunging my record will serve public interest. One of the functions of the justice
system is to rehabilitate offenders and reintegrate them back in society.
Reintegrating offenders involves taking steps to remove all barriers that hinder their
integration back in society. Expunging records is one of those ways to ensure that
former offenders do not continue to be punished for their crimes despite serving their
sentences and being rehabilitated.
Reasons wherefore, premises considered, I respectfully request you to issue an
order of the expungement of my record in case number _______________. I am
ready to appear and clarify anything regarding the expungement of my record. Thank
