RE: DEMAND FOR REIMBURSEMENT
Dear Sir/Madam,
Pursuant to the Lease Agreement signed and dated ___________________, 20____ (hereinafter “Agreement”), the purpose of this letter is to notify you regarding a breach of the terms of the aforementioned Agreement. According to the agreement, the duty to repair and replace faulty appliances is delegated to the Rental Company (Add name of the Rental Company). However, after notifying your office regarding a faulty appliance in my household, no action was taken for a period amounting to a month. I had to replace the appliance at my expense which should not be the case.
I spend a total of $ _______________________ on the repairs which I formally ask to be reimbursed or credited.
For this reason, I hold you responsible for proceeding in acts that have directly violated the terms of the aforementioned agreement. Unless the aforementioned issue is resolved, this letter formally places you on notice of the legal requirements concerning document retention and expects you and all your affiliates to honor such requirements.
You have a legal obligation to maintain and preserve any and all documents, materials, and information, in any form whatsoever, which may be potentially relevant to the subject matter, or discoverable in any potential action arising from this breach.
It is in the best interest of both parties to resolve this matter as soon as possible. If there is no response by ___________________, 20____, then it shall be my right to pursue any and all available legal and equitable remedies, including, but not limited to, instituting formal litigation proceedings against you in accordance with the laws of ________________ (State e.g. Texas/California etc.)
