CYWOC CONTRACT
This AGREEMENT (‘’this Agreement’’) is entered into between [NAME] of address [ADDRESS] (“Organization”) and [NAME] of address [ADDRESS] (“applicant”) on [DATE].
Whereas CYWOC is a non-profitable organization that teaches young women of color to code;
Whereas the organization is looking for potential students to be admitted into the program;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, and of the mutual promises and undertakings herein contained, the parties, intending to be bound, do agree as follows:
- Applicant’s obligations
Applicants must agree to the following;
- finish all coursework within 16 weeks
- Attend workshops/mentoring sessions, mock interviews and weekly standups
- Take certification tests and attend CYWOC retreats.
- Graduates agree to mentor future cohorts
- Participants may not write or speak about their experience or affiliations with third parties without written permission from CYWOC.
Failure to comply with the above obligations shall lead to dismissal and termination of this contract.
- Non-compete
For the entire duration of this agreement and for the time the applicant’s Agreement with the organization has been terminated for any reason, the applicant will not engage in any activity that poses unwarranted competition with the Company/Organization.
- Commitment

CYWOC is in its pilot phase and are currently developing various tracks for future cohorts that may be part time. Your feedback allows us to meet you were you are at and help you meet your goals.
This course is 350hrs long and is intended to be completed in 12wks time (30hrs a week). A successful completion of the program will include staff augmentation opp, internships, mentorship relationships and certification tests. Graduates are required to mentor future cohorts.
- Photographs and video consent declaration
- I __________ [name of applicant] hereby grant permission to CYWOC and its representatives to take photographs or videos of me and to make recordings of my voice during the course of the program. I further grant to the organization the right to reproduce, use, exhibit, display, broadcast and distribute and create derivative works of these images and recordings in any media now known or later Developed. I acknowledge that CYWOC owns all rights to the images and recordings.
- Waiver, Indemnity and Release
I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the use of the images or recordings or of any written copy. I further waive all moral rights. I also waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the images, recordings, or materials. I hereby release, defend, indemnify and hold harmless the organization from and against any claims, damages or liability arising from or related to the use of the images, recordings or materials, including but not limited to claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, or rights of publicity or copyright infringement, or any misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion or use in composite form that may occur or be produced in taking, processing, reduction or production of the finished product, its publication or distribution. I am 18 years of age or older and I am competent to contract in my own name. I have read this document before signing below, and I fully understand the contents, meaning and impact of this consent, waiver, indemnity and release. This consent, waiver, indemnity and release is binding on me, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns.
