This letter serves as a notice to the above named individuals herein to immediately cease and desist all harassing activities towards and against __________________________, a minor of the age _________________________ and a citizen of __________________________ (Herein “Minor”.
Details of the Activities and Events
For _____________________ (months/Years), _______________________________ (herein “Witness”) (Name of applicant/your name) has witnessed the inhuman treatment of the Minor. Given the minor’s years, the minor is categorized as a child in need of care and protection. Basic needs such as food has been unavailable to the minor. The minor’s health is in question due to such deprivation. Additionally, the Minor’s education is affected greatly due to the treatment the Minor gets from you. Minor has had difficulties in attending school during the ______________________ period. Social isolation of the minor is another serious issue which in turn, together with the other forms of abuse, have resulted to the mental torture of the minor.
The harassment include the following but not limited to:

- Violation of basic human dignity accorded to every child by the state
These deeds are not only morally wrong but also a contravention of the law. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) was formulated to protect and promote the rights of all children around the world. It was the first international treaty to integrate all human rights in reference to children, encouraging them to participate in family, cultural, and social aspects of life. It emphasizes the right to survival, development, and protection against abuse, neglect, and exploitation. It also addresses issues with education and health care. Additionally, the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act furthers the agenda on the prevention of child abuse. These rights accorded to the Minor through this convention and the CAPTA Act have been contravened grossly.
It is understood that complains have been made more than once by the witness herein more than once in the past but due to unexplained circumstances, he couldn’t get the necessary help he needed. However, we seek to pursue this humanitarian case that involves the deprivation of the rights of a child who belong to the vulnerable of the society.
Your actions are threatening and aggressive. We find these actions unbearable to the Minor and we shall be forced to take further legal actions against you. The named actions have taken a toll on both mental health and physical health of Minor. He has suffered a series of emotional distress since the harassment commenced. Your actions also infringe upon his right to remain free from any harassment.
If you do not cease and desist the activities identified herein effective immediately, we will be forced to take appropriate legal actions against you with the help of societies such as the human rights society. We will seek all available damages and remedies in court for that matter. All evidence to the claims stated above shall be adduced in a court of law of competent jurisdiction.
