DEFENSE

I…………., do hereby respond in defense to the sexual harassment allegations as follows;
1. The sexual harassment allegations by the husband and wife are baseless assertions and
have just been made with the aim of slandering me.
2. To begin with, the husband and wife tricked me into getting his personal information as
well as my manager’s name, which is information was then shared on Facebook
messenger. The preceding is against the company’s policy.
3. The husband tried to accuse me of harassing his wife and compelled me to admit actions
that he did not commit.
4. I am clueless as to why I was reported to the HR department since the wife had the
tendency of contacting me after work.
5. Due to the imminent accusations and owing to the fact that we all work in the same
company; I am apprehensive that I could lose my job anytime.
6. The wife once approached me and inquired regarding my job. She also sought advise on
how to improve her skills and ultimately position herself for a higher pay and I offered to
assist.
7. Subsequently, the wife requested that we meet to further discuss the foregoing. She also
inquired about my Facebook account.
8. We then met for coffee at Starbucks where we talked about work. Subsequently, we chat
talked about work and had jolly conversations on Facebook.
9. Nonetheless, the lady neither informed me that she was married nor did she tell me that
she had kids.

10. The conversations increased after the meeting since she would contact me more and we
would chat days on end.
11. However, I realized that whenever she got home, she insisted that she would not be in a
position to converse anymore and would often hang up her phone. She always insisted
on chatting as opposed to conversing through phone calls.
12. We continued to chat but she later requested that we should have a second meeting. The
reason being that she wanted more assistance and advice on the grading of her work skills
and registration of classes to have the green light completed.
13. On the scheduled day, I picked her at the parking lot and we went out and had a lengthy
conversation on the same at the American Restaurant. Afterwards, I took her to her car
and each of us went separate ways.
14. Afterwards, we continued texting as usual but she was busted by her husband.
15. The husband then texted me pretending to be the wife and tricked me to revealing
delicate information about the company.
16. Having found out who I was, he later revealed himself and admitted to texting me in
place of the wife.
17. The husband then shared my information and that of my manager to Facebook messenger
which is against the company’s policy. This almost got me fired from the company.
18. The husband also went to the extent of accusing me of non-consensually touching his
wife when we met at the American Restaurant to further aggravate the reasons why I
should be dismissed from work.
19. I sincerely did not touch, let alone sexually harass his wife, and the husband is only
compelling me to admit to doing something that I didn’t do.

20. The husband accusation is that I took his wife to a private room of the American
Restaurant and sexually harassed her.
21. As opposed to the preceding, what actually happened is that she inquired on whether
there was any place in the hotel for her to take a nap since she had not enough sleep the
previous night.
22. In response to her inquiries, I, in a jocular manner, suggested that there may be private
rooms in the American Restaurant where she could nap.
23. Every conversation that I had with her following the inquiries were just had jokingly and
I can produce screenshots of the same.
24. Despite having several conversations with her, I had no intention of having her
relationship with her since I am bachelor and I have no intentions of getting married
anytime soon.
25. Further, I do not intend to take care of other people’s kids and it would be against my
familial beliefs to do so.
26. Following the preceding narrative, it is evident that I am innocent of the sexual
harassment allegations and the aspersions cast are only meant to taint my name and have
me fired.
27. The Human Resource Department should thus consider the proof presented before it
should be dismissed as mere propaganda and baseless accusations.
28. The Human Resource Department should also consider that the company’s information
shared was done inadvertently and was as a result of trickery by the crude husband that
just wanted me to lose my job.

29. Also, my relations with the wife and subsequent conversations had nothing to do with the
company and its confidential information hence I am blameless of the allegations of
sharing the company’s confidential information to third parties.
