BOOKKEEPER AGREEMENT
This agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into on [Date] by and between
[COMPANY NAME] ("Company"), and XXX ("Bookkeeper").
WHEREAS, Company desires to retain Bookkeeper to provide bookkeeping services for
Company, and Bookkeeper desires to provide such services;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants contained
herein, the parties agree as follows:
1. Services. Bookkeeper shall provide bookkeeping services to Company on a regular
basis as agreed upon by the parties. Such services shall include, but not be limited
to, the following:
Recording financial transactions in accounting software
Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements
Preparing financial statements
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
Advising on financial best practices
2. Compensation. Company shall pay Bookkeeper $1500.00 per week for services
rendered to the Company. Bookkeeper shall invoice Company for services rendered
and Company shall pay such invoices within Two (2) days of receipt.
3. Confidentiality. Bookkeeper acknowledges that he or she may have access to
confidential information of Company, including but not limited to financial information,
customer lists, and trade secrets. Bookkeeper shall maintain the confidentiality of
such information and shall not disclose it to any third party without Company’s prior
written consent.
4. Independent Contractor. Bookkeeper shall perform the services required under this
Agreement as an independent contractor, and nothing contained herein shall be
construed to create any partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between
Company and Bookkeeper. Bookkeeper shall be solely responsible for payment of all
taxes, including but not limited to income taxes, self-employment taxes, and any
other taxes or fees required by law.
5. Term and Termination. This Agreement shall commence on the date first written
above and shall continue until terminated by either party upon 7 days’ written notice
to the other party. Company may terminate this Agreement immediately upon written
notice if Bookkeeper breaches any material provision of this Agreement.
6. Governing Law. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance
with the laws of the state of Columbia, and any dispute arising under this Agreement
shall be resolved amicably failure to which it shall be referred to mediation.
7. Entire Agreement. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the
parties and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous negotiations, understandings,
or agreements, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter hereof.
