Terms and Conditions, 2019
HOW TO BOOK
When you’re ready to book, please call(link) or email us (link) – or fill out a booking request form (link). Once we have a clear understanding of what you’re after, we’ll send you a quote via email (which is valid for 48 hours) and a list of interested staff for you to interview and or book. Once booked you will receive a confirmation email and a deposit request to confirm your booking.

4 – a ) If allocation is successful you will be sent a booking recommendation
- b) If allocation is not successful your booking request will be cancelled or forwarded to our recruitment team (placement fees will apply)
5 – If booking recommendation is accepted you will be sending a booking confirmation and or a contract
6 – Booking confirmation/contract – Your booking is confirmed, and a contract exists when you are emailed a written confirmation/contract and have paid a deposit
7 – Reminder will be issued via email
8 – Feedback will be requested via email
REGISTRATION FEES
If you’re new with us, you will need to pay a registration fee of $99.00 (GST inclusive). This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and is an administrative charge to cover the cost and time it takes us to set you up in our booking system and allocate a suitable team member to match your booking requirements. However, if a suitable team member is not available, this fee remains NON-REFUNDABLE.
If no suitable candidate within our team is found within 7 days, we will cancel your booking request. We are happy to extensively search, advertise and interview external candidates for you (for 7-14 days) to employ direct for a placement fee.
Upon valid client registration, you have full access to book our services. Please note that if you cease to use our services within a 12- consecutive month’s timeframe, your registration will be deactivated and archived in accordance with our privacy policy. Once your client file is deactivated, you will need to re-register with payment to use our service again.
EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS
1 – Employed by Nest Nannies via
- Casual bookings (irregularly booked in on a day to day or week to week basis) or
- Fixed term contract (regularly booked in on a week to week or month to month basis)
OR
2 – Employed by client. We can help you find your own nanny, maternity nanny or maternity nurse candidate for you to employ direct. The candidate may have an ABN and invoice you direct, or you may employ them via PAYG.
Nest Nannies staff are available for casual and or temporary casual bookings and are employees of Nest Nannies, so we take care of their pay, insurance WorkCover and payslips etc.
We are also able to course you your own nanny to employ direct for a placement fee.
PLACEMENT FEES
If you wish nest nannies to find you a nanny to employ direct the following placement fees will apply once a nanny has been found. A non-refundable $500 search fee is charged to offset the time to source a nanny.
Search fee refundable if no candidates available. Not refundable if three candidates are produced but not employeed
If our team is not available and or if you wish to employ the nanny/nurse direct, we charge the following placement/finder fees:
Nanny – $1,500
Maternity Nanny – $2,000
Maternity Nurse – $2,500
A Nest Nannies team member – $5,000
In the event the nanny doesn’t work out these fees are refundable as follows:
100% – if terminated within 1 month
75% – if terminated within 2 months
50% – if terminated within 3 months
0% – if terminated after 3 months.
RATES, INVOICING AND PAYMENTS
Our rates cover the salary of your Nest Nannies professional, WorkCover, insurance, superannuation, GST (where applicable) and agency admin fees.
We invoice outstanding amounts at the end of every booking – or every Monday if you’re an ongoing client. Invoice terms are strictly cash on delivery (COD) (10% late fees apply).
Quotes are valid for 48hrs only. Rates are subject to change.

CASUAL SHIFT SERVICE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Cancellation 48hrs notice. $200 cancellation fee applies.
FIXED TERM CONTRACT SERVICE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Pre-booking: we require 1 weeks’ notice for each month booked up to 4 weeks. For example:
1 week for 1 month
2 weeks for 2 months
3 weeks for 3 months
4 weeks for 4+ months
During booking: we require 1 weeks’ notice to terminate once booking has commenced
Deposit required: 1 week per month booked rounded up to the closest $500
Individual Staff available up to 6 nights per week (must have 1 night off per week) … in the event of a 5/7 night per week booking 2 staff may be allocated.
If a fixed term contract:
- Deposit 1 week for each month booked
- Cancellation 1 week for each month up to 4 weeks
- If baby born early availability is subject to availability
- If baby born late 50-100% charges will apply and nanny/nurse will remain on-call and ready to start once baby is born/home – won’t be charged if we are able to find the nanny/nurse a temp position whilst waiting.

Nanny terms and conditions

Maternity nanny terms and conditions
Available for children 0-12months
MN rates apply
Shifts between 7am-7pm
Min shifts 8 hrs (shorter shifts occasionally available subject to availability – for shifts 6hrs or less a $15 booking fee applies.
Night nanny/nurse terms and conditions
- For infants Newborn to 4/6 months
- For infants 4-12 months service provided will be for respite only e.g. to care for infants still requiring night feeds, comfort/cuddles, sick, jetlagged and or restless infants (not sleep training). If a sleep problem is identified and or if sleep training is required referral to one of our sleep consultants may be recommended.
- Maternity nanny or maternity nurse rates will apply (dependent on staff qualifications).
- Shifts between 7pm-7am
- Min 8 hr shift
Place to rest (lounge/spare room/nursery) inc blanket and pillow to be provided plus a monitor if not close to baby’s room
Communication book/medication book to keep handover notes/records.
Maternity consultant terms and conditions
- Maternity consultant rates will apply (dependent on staff qualifications).
- 7 days cancellation
- Deposit: $500
- Follow up – 1-week post booking via text/phone/email (between 9am-8pm Monday to Saturday (NA Sunday’s)
- Advice given should not replace medical advice
- Information provided shall not be distributed
- Ambiguous Case history may be mentioned on social media
Sleep consultant terms and conditions
For infants 4+ months
- Sleep consultant rates will apply (dependent on staff qualifications).
- 7 days cancellation
- Deposit: $500
- Follow up – 1 week post booking via text/phone/email (between 9am-8pm Monday to Saturday (NA Sunday’s) additional follow up charges will apply if further support required
- Advice given should not replace medical advice
- Ambiguous Case history may be mentioned on social media
- Results of sleep program vary amongst individuals… sleep training can take 1-5 days. Consistency key to success
Phone consultations terms and conditions
- 45min talk time plus one follow up email (dot point summary of consultation)
- 1 x personalized routine provided
- 1 x fact sheet (on age appropriate eating/sleeping and activity habits)
- Any other relevant fact sheets
- Addition fees apply for further follow up (e.g. 1-week phone/text/email support $500, follow up phone calls $50ph)
- Fee – $100 (non-refundable) – can be rescheduled up to 2 times then cancelled no refund 24hrs notice required.
Email support terms and conditions
- Unlimited text/phone and or email support for 1 week (Monday-Saturday 9am-8pm)
- Unlimited Fact sheets via email as required
- Addition fees apply for further follow up (e.g. 1-week phone/text/email support $300, follow up phone calls $50ph)
- Fee – $100 (non-refundable) – can be rescheduled up to 2 times then cancelled no refund 24hrs notice required.
Staff types:
Nannies – child care trained
Maternity nannies / Night Nannies – childcare plus maternity/infant care trained
Maternity Nurse / Night Nurse – healthcare trained in nursing, midwifery or mothercraft nursing
Maternity consultants – For troubleshooting Our Maternity Nannies or Maternity nurses with 10 plus years’ experience
Paediatric sleep consultants –
Level 1 – Our Maternity Nannies or Maternity nurses with university training in infant/child sleep and sleep training methods.
Level 2 – Our Maternity Nannies or Maternity nurses with professional development training in infant/child sleep and sleep training methods.
Babysitters – any available staff (nanny rates apply)
Public holidays
Attract a 50% surcharge. In the event of a live-in booking (24hr booking) the 50% surcharge will apply to the rate if 12 or more hours fall on the public holiday date. Public holidays are from 12am to 11.59pm on the day of the public holiday.
New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day
100% surcharge applies. Normal rates will apply up to 6pm… then 100% applies from 6pm to 12am (on NYD) and from 12am to 11.59pm NYD. In the event of a live-in booking (24hr booking) 100% rates will apply to the rate if 12 or more hours fall on the public holiday date.
DEPOSITS
Once we have received your paid registration, a deposit for each new service booking is required. Unfortunately, if the deposit is not paid by the invoice due date, the booking will be cancelled.

Rescheduling your booking
We’re happy to reschedule your booking after a cancellation. However, you’ll only have one opportunity to do so. If you cancel a second or third time, an additional fee will apply (in addition to your deposit). We also cannot guarantee you will be placed with the same nanny/consultant if you wish to cancel and reschedule. All bookings are made subject to staff availability.
Occupational Health and Safety
Please provide our staff with a home/location that is clean and safe to work in. At Nest Nannies we endeavour to follow the codes of practice under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, to provide a safe workplace for all our staff and request the same of our clients as a condition of service placement.
Interstate and international bookings
Many members of the Nest Nannies team are available for interstate and international bookings.
You’ll need to cover all flights, transfers, accommodation and meals for the duration of the trip (in addition to our normal hourly or live-in rates).
Night nannies and live-in/24hr shift nannies
Please provide our night and live-in nannies with a comfortable space to sleep such as a lounge room or spare room – ideally close to your infant or child’s bedroom.
If your child is six months or younger, we can stay in her room if needed.
For all live-in and 24-hour bookings, our specialists require 4-8 hours’ a day for naps or personal time. While we typically take this during the day, we’ll work around you. And don’t worry. We’re still on call for you and your little one during this time. Meals, snacks and unrestricted parking should also be provided.
Should paid parking be required this expense will need to be covered.

Clients will be quoted rates based on the infant/child’s age and relevant service.
Follow-up support
If your booking comes with follow-up support (typically with Maternity Specialists and in-home sleep training bookings), this is valid for seven days (9am-9pm) immediately post your booking.
You can contact us or your specialist directly via telephone, SMS and email. And we even make house calls if appropriate (subject to availability). Additional support is available after the first seven days – but additional fees will apply

DISPUTE RESOLUTION
All disputes or differences which shall at any time arise between Nest Nannies and you, the client, concerning any matter in relation to this Agreement shall be resolved amicably through conciliation, negotiation or Arbitration.
GOVERNING LAW
The Terms and Conditions shall be construed and governed in accordance with the laws of Australia.
