REMODELING CONTRACT
This Remodeling Contract (“Contract”) is entered into ______(Effective Date), by
and between _____(Uncle) with and address of _____and __________(Nephew) with an address of __, collectively the (“Parties”)
- Remodeling Services
The Uncle wishes to obtain the following services: The Nephew will repair any damages on the
property to improve its living standards.
The Services are to be performed at the following address_____________
The Nephew agrees to furnish the labor, materials and supplies necessary to perform the Services
in accordance with the terms and conditions contained in this Contract. Upon completion of
services, the Nephew will remove all materials, supplies, and other debris on the property. - Term
This Contract shall remain in effect for the duration remodeling services. Upon completion of
remodeling services, parties shall terminate this agreement. - Payment Schedule
Remodeling costs will be subtracted from the rent payments for the subsequent months until the
remodeling costs are fully reimbursed. Upon completion of reimbursement, the Nephew shall
commence making rent payments of $ 550 (this shall be contained in the lease agreement). - Events Beyond the Nephew’s Control
Uncle agrees that if the Nephew is unable to complete the Services, the Nephew will inform him.
Further, if any structural damage that was unknown to both parties is discovered, the costs shall
be repaid by the Uncle. - Safety Precautions
The Nephew will take all reasonable safety precautions in performing the Services. He will
comply with all applicable law, ordinances, rules, regulations, and orders of public authorities for
the safety of persons and property. The Uncle agrees to keep the property clear of all known and
potential hazards. The Nephew further agrees to keep all pets out of the work area of the
property. - Liability Waiver
If Nephew, any of its employees, contractors, agents, or the like are injured in the course of
performing the Services, Uncle is exempt from liability for those injuries to the fullest extent
allowed by law. - Termination
The Uncle shall terminate the Contract by giving written notice to the Nephew. The Nephew can
also terminate the contract by failing to render the remodeling services and notifying the Uncle
of the same. - Entire Agreement
This document reflects the entire agreement between the Parties and reflects a complete
understanding of the Parties with respect to the Subject Matter. This Agreement supersedes all
prior written and oral representations. This Agreement may not be amended, altered or
supplemented except in writing signed by both parties. - Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute arising out of this Agreement, the Parties shall engage in mediation. If
the matter cannot be resolved through mediation, and legal fees ensue, the successful party will
be entitled to its legal fees, including but not limited to attorney’s fees. - Legal and Binding
This Contract is legal and binding between the Parties. The Parties each represent that they have
the authority to enter into this Contract. - Applicable Law
This Contract shall be governed and construed in accordance with the Laws of state where the
Property is located, without giving effect to any conflicts of law provisions.
